Combine that with their high energy efficiency rating and you get a solid tankless water heater that’s set to deliver endless hot water for many years to come.
Bosch tankless water heaters are designed and built from the ground up with high quality in mind. They’re estimated to last up to 20 years. That’s quite impressive, and it’s almost twice conventional water heaters that last an average of 6-12 years. With that being said, these on-demand water heater will pay for themselves in energy savings over time.
Bosch gas tankless water heaters are the product of over a century of innovation and technical refinement. Nowadays, Bosch has become one of the leaders in the industry of water heating units. Bosch likes to brag about its new patented heat burner design which allows for unsurpassed efficiency and durability.
Why choose a Bosch on demand water heater?
Unlike conventional water heaters that keep heating water 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, even when there’s no demand, Bosch tankless water heaters only heat water when there’s a demand for hot water – for example when the hot water tap is turned on in the shower or in the kitchen. This makes them the most energy efficient appliances that you can rely on to provide you with endless hot water, while keeping your energy bill low.
Bosch on demand water heaters are very energy-efficient. They can save you up 40% of your energy costs. That’s almost half your utility bill. The downside, however, is the hefty upfront investment. Most tankless water heaters out there are quite expensive. However, if you buy the right one, it will pay for itself in energy savings over time. Additionally, many of them qualify for a federal tax credit worth up to 30%.
Bosch Tankless Water Heaters Reviews
Bosch C 950 ES NG Greentherm Review
This is one of the best tankless water heaters that Bosch has to offer. It’s one of the most efficient model in Bosch’s Therm line of gas tankless water heaters.
The Bosch Greentherm model C 950 ES water heater is a high-efficiency, fully-condensing appliance. It has an Energy Factor of 0.95. And it’s equipped with an automated and fully modulating bypass for unsurpassed domestic home water temperature stability. All Greentherm models including Bosch C 950 ES NG, use condensing technology which makes for lower consumptions, high performance, and low emission of toxic pollutants to the environment. Unlike tank water heaters, a condensing unit captures latent heat of the flue gases and uses it to preheat the incoming cold water, which boosts the efficiency of the water heater by approximately 10%.
Bosch C 950 ES NG is rated for 9.2 GPM at 35°F, and 6 GPM at 55°F,thereby, it’s capable of fulfilling the needs for hot water of a relatively large family living in a medium sized home with multiple showers. It has a temperature range from 100-140°F.
This 175,000 BTU water heater is designed for residential and commercial applications. It can be installed either indoor or outdoor. It features an electronic ignition system and can vent through either 3 inch or 4 inch diameter PVC vent pipe either through the side wall or up through the roof. It’s approved for use with 1/2″ gas line, making tank retrofit more affordable. This heater comes with built-in freeze protection and a water filter that is externally accessible, but does not come with a pressure relief valve (PRV).
As for cons, it’s really difficult to think of any, if anything I’d say that this unit is quite expensive. However, assuming you’ve got the cash to throw around, it’s one of the highest quality tankless water your can buy.
